About

Stirrup Campground is part of the larger Letts Lake Campground complex in Mendocino National Forest, located 19 miles west of Stonyford. A one-mile trail loops around the lake shore, perfect for hiking and wildlife viewing. Swimming is popular during warmer months. The campground offers vault toilets and seasonal drinking water from faucets. Operating on a first-come, first-served basis, the campground is open seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Sites cost $12 per night during peak season and $6 per night in shoulder season. Two vehicles are allowed per site, and OHV riding is prohibited in the campground. Check-in is at 2:00 p.m., check-out at 11:00 a.m., with quiet hours from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
