Saddle Camp Loop Campground sits along the shores of Letts Lake, a 35-acre mountain lake in Mendocino National Forest about 19 miles west of Stonyford. The loop contains 9 campsites (numbered 19-27), each equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. The area draws visitors primarily for trout fishing, swimming, and non-motorized boating. The broader Letts Lake recreation area includes accessible vault restrooms and a popular fully accessible fishing pier. A one-mile trail follows the lakeshore. Potable water is available from faucets during peak season (May through September) but is shut off during the off-season. The access road accommodates trailers up to 30 feet. All sites are first-come, first-served with no advance reservations. Campers pay on-site using the Recreation.gov Scan & Pay mobile app. Check-in is at 2:00 p.m. and check-out at 11:00 a.m., with quiet hours from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
