Chico Seed Orchard Public Use and Access Closure

About

Mill Creek Campground is a small, rustic roadside campground nestled along Mill Creek in the Stonyford Recreation Area of Mendocino National Forest. Located 8 miles west of Stonyford on Road 18N01, this first-come, first-served campground offers 6 campsites, each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. The campground provides vault toilets and potable water for campers. The stream flow is best in winter and early spring, making these seasons ideal for river and stream fishing along Mill Creek. The campground is popular with OHV enthusiasts as it provides access to the extensive Grindstone OHV trail system. The rustic, roadside setting makes this a convenient base camp for those exploring the area's off-highway vehicle trails and enjoying the natural beauty of the surrounding forest. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with check-in at 2:00 p.m. and checkout at 11:00 a.m. Sites cost $10 per night and can be paid on-site using the Recreation.gov mobile app with the Scan and Pay feature at the campground kiosk. Quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
