Closed — Closed for the season. Day-use facilities close October 1 through the end of February. The boat ramp and marina access remain open year-round from 6:00 a.m. daily. Park reopens March 1 with hours from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

About

Stillhouse Park is a scenic day-use area operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on the northeast shore of Stillhouse Hollow Lake in central Texas. The park provides excellent views of Stillhouse Hollow Dam and serves as a popular destination for family gatherings and outdoor recreation. The park features covered picnic sites equipped with barbecue grills, a designated swim beach, sand volleyball courts, and a basketball court. A 4-lane boat ramp with waterborne restrooms provides lake access for boaters and anglers. The park also connects to the Dana Peak hiking trail system. Two group pavilions, Island View Pavilion and Tear Drop Pavilion, are available for daily reservation and are popular for events and gatherings. Stillhouse Marina is located within the park near the boat ramp. Stillhouse Hollow Lake spans 6,430 acres with 58 miles of shoreline and is known for its clear, deep water. The lake offers fishing opportunities for largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and channel catfish. Birdwatchers can spot hawks, great blue herons, waterfowl, and occasionally bald eagles. The nearby Village of Salado offers additional amenities including golf, art galleries, and shopping.

Directions

From Interstate 35 in Belton, take State Highway 190 west to the Simmons Road exit. Exit and turn left under 190 onto Simmons Road. Proceed about three miles to the park.
