About
Cedar Ridge Park Campground sits on the northern shore of Belton Lake, which was created in 1954 by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on the Leon River. The 12,300-acre lake offers 136 miles of shoreline and is considered one of the best fishing, camping, and boating destinations in Central Texas. The campground features a mix of sun and shade with some sites directly on the water and others a short walk from the shore. White limestone bluffs and seasonal wildflowers add to the scenic backdrop. The facility provides 63 single and 1 double RV site with 50-amp electric and water hookups, 4 tent sites with up to 30-amp electric and water, and 8 screened shelters with 15-amp outlets. Each site includes a covered picnic table and charcoal grill. Flush restrooms with hot showers are located throughout the park, and two dump stations serve RV campers. A concession marina within the park sells fuel, convenience items, and operates a seasonal restaurant. Recreational options include two multi-lane boat ramps with courtesy docks, a lighted fishing dock, designated swim beach, playground, basketball and volleyball courts, horseshoe pit, and hiking trail. Hawks, great blue herons, and occasional bald eagles frequent the area, making it a good spot for birding.
