About

Belton Lakeview Park is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers day-use facility situated on a scenic bluff overlooking Belton Lake and Dam in Bell County, Texas. The park offers two reservable group day-use areas along the lower shore of Belton Lake, providing excellent fishing and boating access in Central Texas. The facility includes the Franks pavilion (capacity 120 people) and the Overlook pavilion (capacity 150 people), each equipped with a large covered structure, playground, restrooms, and hookups. Additional amenities include a two-lane boat ramp, picnic areas with grills, and a volleyball court. Belton Lake, created by the construction of Belton Dam in 1954, spans 12,300 acres on the Leon River. Popular fish species include hybrid striped bass, largemouth bass, white bass, catfish, and sunfish. The forested shoreline provides habitat for deer, wild turkey, herons, and various waterfowl.
