About

Stennis East Bank Day Use is a day-use recreation area situated on Columbus Lake along the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway in Columbus, Mississippi. Operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the facility offers four reservable shelters ideal for family gatherings and group events, each equipped with water, electricity, and picnic tables. A boat ramp provides access to the waterway, requiring a valid day use pass for all boaters. The area features fishing piers where visitors can catch catfish and other species, and a vehicle overlook provides scenic sunset views. The location near the John C. Stennis Lock and Dam makes it a good spot for watching migratory birds and observing lock operations. Dumpsters and bathhouses are available on site. Note: This is a day-use facility only. There are no overnight camping sites available. The area is open daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
