Raleigh Ryan Ramp Picnic Shelter sits on Aliceville Lake along the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway near Pickensville, Alabama. The facility features a single rentable picnic shelter equipped with electricity, water, and picnic tables, making it ideal for group events and fishing tournaments. An adjacent boat ramp provides direct access to the waterway. The shelter's location offers excellent views of the main channel of the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, where commercial barges, yachts, and recreational boats regularly pass. The area is known for wildlife viewing opportunities including fish activity and migratory birds. The waterway itself is a 234-mile man-made system connecting the Tennessee River to the Gulf of Mexico. The Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway provides year-round fishing opportunities for various species, with numerous tournaments held throughout the year. Boating, waterskiing, and swimming are popular activities. Hunting opportunities are available on Corps of Engineers land in the surrounding area. The facility is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District.
