The facility offers one shelter available for rental, making it ideal for afternoon picnics, family gatherings, and fishing excursions along the banks of the river. The Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway provides a scenic backdrop with excellent opportunities for fishing, boating, and wildlife viewing. From the day use area, visitors can watch commercial barges, pleasure yachts, and recreational boats navigate the main channel. The location is also prime for observing fish jumping in the water and migratory birds flying overhead. The waterway itself extends 234 miles from the Tennessee River to the Tombigbee River in Alabama, connecting the nation's midsection to the Gulf of Mexico. The area supports year-round fishing for various species and hosts numerous fishing tournaments throughout the year.
