About

Station Creek Group Campground sits at 5,800 feet elevation in Snake River Canyon along the designated Wild and Scenic Snake River, approximately 27 miles southwest of Jackson, Wyoming. The campground is nestled in a forest of lodgepole pines that provide partial shade, with abundant summer wildflowers throughout the area. The Snake River can be accessed across the highway and down an embankment. The campground offers two group campsites, each accommodating up to 40 people, equipped with picnic and serving tables, large campfire circles, grills, and food storage lockers. Vault toilets and drinking water via hand pump are provided. This is a reservation-only facility and books up quickly due to its prime location and excellent river access. The Snake River provides outstanding opportunities for fly-fishing for cutthroat, rainbow, and brown trout, as well as whitewater rafting and kayaking. A boat ramp is located nearby. The city of Jackson is 25 miles north, offering restaurants, shops, galleries, and ski resorts. Grand Teton National Park is approximately 40 miles north, providing additional opportunities for boating, fishing, hiking, and mountain scenery.
