About
East Table Campground is situated along the Wild and Scenic Snake River in the Snake River Canyon, approximately 24 miles southeast of Jackson, Wyoming. The campground features 21 individual campsites set among wooded terrain that provides natural screening from Highway 26/89. Each campsite includes a picnic table, fire pit, and parking for up to two vehicles, with an additional vehicle fee applying. The location offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and direct access to the Snake River, making it particularly popular with rafters, anglers, and river enthusiasts. The campground is located near the East Table Boating Site, a quiet boat launch that prohibits trailers and provides a less crowded alternative to the nearby West Table launch. The Snake River in this section is renowned for its whitewater rafting opportunities and scenic float trips through the canyon. Wildlife viewing opportunities abound in the area, and the campground's riverside setting creates a peaceful atmosphere despite its proximity to the highway.
