About

East Table Campground occupies a scenic stretch of the Wild and Scenic Snake River corridor in Bridger-Teton National Forest, roughly 24 miles southwest of Jackson, Wyoming. The campground is nicely wooded, providing a buffer from Highway 26/89 while still offering excellent views of the river and the surrounding mountain terrain. This section of the Snake River Canyon is a major destination for whitewater rafting and fly fishing. The campground has 20 sites suitable for tents and smaller trailers. Twelve sites are reservable through Recreation.gov; the remainder operate first-come, first-served. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring, and bear-proof storage box for food and scented items. Vault toilets and potable water from a hand pump are available during the operating season. Bear-proof trash receptacles are provided. A mandatory food storage order is in effect requiring all food, garbage, coolers, cook stoves, and toiletries to be stored in bear-proof boxes or locked vehicles. Note that there is no public river access through the campground itself. The Jackson Ranger District enforces a 5-day camping stay limit from May 1 through Labor Day.
