About
Murphy Creek Campground sits along Greys River Road in the Bridger-Teton National Forest, approximately 14 miles from the town of Alpine, Wyoming. This small, rustic campground offers 10 campsites in a serene forest setting with light usage throughout the season. The campground includes one 70-foot pull-through site and can accommodate trailers up to 30 feet, making it accessible for a range of camping setups. During the operating season, campers have access to vault toilets, hand-pump drinking water, and trash service. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations accepted. The nightly fee is $7 per site, with a 14-day stay limit. A nearby trail follows Hot Foot Creek to the Little Greys River, providing additional fishing and hiking opportunities. The picnic area is accessible for day use. After the September 30 closure date, water is turned off, bathrooms are locked, and trash service ends. However, the gate remains open and the campground can still be used for free when amenities are not operational. Access is via Greys River Road (Forest Service Road 10138), a maintained forest road suitable for the season.
