About

Little Cottonwood Group Campground sits at 5,700 feet elevation in Snake River Canyon, about 30 miles southwest of Jackson, Wyoming. The single group site is nestled in a forest of pine and aspen trees, providing partial shade and excellent views of the canyon walls. The Snake River lies just below the campground, accessible down the hillside. This reservable group site accommodates up to 40 people and includes vault toilets, picnic tables, a campfire circle, food storage lockers, and trash collection. Drinking water is available via hand pump. The campground is subject to bear food storage requirements. Recreation options include fly-fishing for cutthroat, rainbow, and brown trout, as well as whitewater rafting and kayaking with a nearby boat ramp. Jackson is 25 miles north with full services, and Grand Teton National Park is approximately 40 miles north.

Directions

From Jackson, head southwest on US-189 for about 13 miles to Hoback Junction. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto US-26 East/US-89 South and continue 18 miles. Little Cottonwood Group Campground will be signed on the left. Total distance approximately 32 miles, 40 minutes from Jackson.
