St. Francois State Park Campground provides a peaceful retreat in the wooded hills of eastern Missouri's St. Francois Mountains. The campground features over 100 sites divided between basic and electric options, with 63 sites offering 30-amp electrical hookups. Twenty-eight pull-through sites can accommodate RVs and trailers up to 45 feet in length. Each site includes a fire ring and picnic table. Modern facilities include restrooms with hot showers, a dump station, and a playground for families. Vault toilets are also available throughout the campground. Water and shower facilities operate from April 1 through October 31; during the off-season (November through March), campers must bring their own water supply. The park's location along the Big River makes it ideal for canoeing and floating. Three hiking trails wind through the Coonville Creek Wild Area, including one open to equestrian use. A backpack camp on Pike Run Trail offers a primitive option for hikers seeking a more remote experience.

St. Francois State Park is located approximately 5 miles north of Bonne Terre, Missouri, along US Highway 67. From the highway, take the park exit and follow the signs to the campground.
