St. Joe State Park Campground

Located in southeast Missouri's former Lead Belt region near Park Hills, St. Joe State Park provides camping facilities designed for both ORV enthusiasts and equestrian riders. The park operates two campgrounds with distinct character and amenities. Campground 1 is situated near the ORV riding area and offers sites with 20, 30, and 50 amp electric hookups. Modern restrooms with hot showers operate from April 1 through October 31, and a dump station serves RV campers. A wood lot provides firewood daily from 5 to 6 p.m. during the camping season. Wheels and tires must remain on asphalt pads, and tents may only be pitched on designated pads. Campground 2 serves equestrian campers and those without ORVs, featuring electric and basic sites with hitching posts at each site. Running water is available year-round via frost-free hydrants. Registered campers in Campground 2 may use the showers and dump station located in Campground 1. Both campgrounds feature ADA-accessible facilities, and reservations can be made up to 12 months in advance through the state reservation system.
