About

St. Joe State Park Shelters are day-use picnic facilities located in Missouri's historic Lead Belt region near Park Hills. The park offers six picnic shelters spread across the Pim and Monsanto Lake day-use areas, perfect for family gatherings, reunions, and special events. Three shelters (1, 2, and 6) can be reserved online for $35 per day, with capacities of 64 persons (shelters 1 and 6) and 32 persons (shelter 2). The remaining three shelters (3, 4, and 5) are available at no charge on a first-come-first-served basis, each accommodating 32 people. All shelters are ADA accessible and equipped with picnic tables and grills. These shelters are strictly for daytime use only and do not accommodate overnight camping. Nearby facilities include vault toilets and water hydrants, though no electrical hookups are available at any shelter. For overnight stays, visitors should look to the park's separate campgrounds (Campground 1 for ORV users and Campground 2 for equestrians).
