About

St. Joe State Park offers six picnic shelters ideal for family gatherings and special outings, located within one of Missouri's premier off-road vehicle parks. The park features three reservable shelters: Shelters 1 and 2 at Pim Day-Use Area, and Shelter 6 at Monsanto Lake. These reservable shelters cost $35 per day and operate 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. April through October, and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. November through March. If not reserved, they are available first-come, first-served at no charge. Three additional shelters (3, 4, and 5) at Pim Day-Use Area are always free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. All six shelters are ADA accessible and include picnic tables and large grills. Water hydrants and vault toilets are located nearby. The shelters range in capacity from 32 to 64 people. Beyond the shelters, the park offers extensive recreational opportunities including 2,000 acres of off-road vehicle trails, four lakes with two swimming beaches, equestrian trails, hiking and bicycling trails, and two campgrounds designed for visitors with ORV or horse trailers.
