About
Duck Creek Campground is nestled in a mixed forest of aspen, Douglas fir, and old-growth ponderosa pines ranging from 200 to 500 years old. The campground offers 86 standard sites, 7 double sites, and 4 group sites across multiple loops. Loops C, D, and E permit OHV access to the 300-mile Markagunt ATV Trail System, while loops A and B remain OHV-free for a quieter experience. The area is rich with volcanic rock fields from ancient lava tubes, and visitors can explore nearby attractions including Cascade Falls, Mammoth Cave, and the Ice Cave. The Virgin River Rim Trail, a 32-mile non-motorized route with views toward Zion National Park, is accessible within a few minutes' drive. Duck Creek Visitor Center across the highway provides maps and local information. Cedar Breaks National Monument is 10 miles away, featuring the adjacent Ashdown Gorge Wilderness with ancient bristlecone pines. Bryce Canyon is 35 minutes east, and Zion is an hour south. Duck Creek Village, two miles east, offers restaurants, groceries, fuel, and cabin rentals.
