Prohibited by this order: Possessing, storing, or transporting non-pelletized hay, straw, or mulch in the Intermountain Region, unless it is certified as weed free by the state where the product originated.

About

Duck Creek Campground is situated at 8,400 feet elevation in Dixie National Forest, 25 miles east of Cedar City along Utah's Scenic Byway 14. The campground offers 86 campsites, 7 double sites, and 4 group sites beneath a canopy of old-growth ponderosa pines (some 200-500 years old), Douglas fir, and aspen trees. Adjacent to Duck Creek Pond, the campground provides easy access to excellent trout fishing for rainbow, brook, brown, and cutthroat varieties. The campground serves as a gateway to extensive recreational opportunities. The Markagunt ATV Trail System, featuring about 300 miles of OHV routes for all skill levels, can be accessed directly from loops C, D, and E. The Virgin River Rim Trail, a popular 32-mile non-motorized trail for hikers, cyclists, and horseback riders, is just minutes away and offers stunning views of the Virgin River Rim and distant Zions National Park. The area is characterized by volcanic rock fields originating from underground lava tubes. Duck Creek Village, located two miles east, provides restaurants, groceries, and fuel. Nearby attractions include Cedar Breaks National Monument (10 miles), Navajo Lake (6 miles), Cascade Falls, and the Ice Cave and Mammoth Caves. Bryce Canyon National Park is approximately 35 minutes east, and Zions National Park is about an hour south. The Duck Creek Visitor Center is located across the highway from the campground.

Directions

From Cedar City, drive 28 miles east on Scenic Byway SR 14 (Highway 14). The campground entrance is on the left side of the highway, adjacent to the road, just before reaching Duck Creek Village.
