About

Spring Valley State Park Group Campground is located at the south end of the 65-acre Eagle Valley Reservoir in Lincoln County, Nevada. The group camping area accommodates both day and overnight groups and requires advance reservations. The park sits in a scenic valley characterized by volcanic tuff and sediment formations that create distinctive light-gray, pink, and white backdrops. The reservoir is managed as a put-and-take sport fishery stocked primarily with rainbow trout, along with tiger and German brown trout. A boat launch with ramp, dock, and temporary docking slips is located adjacent to the day use area. The park attracts diverse wildlife including eagles, hawks, waterfowl, herons, avocets, and occasionally trumpeter swans. Visitors can explore historic ranch buildings dating to the late 1800s and hike developed trails connecting various areas of the park. The environment represents typical Great Basin desert and riparian life zones. The park is located approximately 18 miles northeast of Pioche on State Route 322 at an elevation around 6,000 feet.
