Kershaw Ryan State Park Group Day Use Campground

Open

This is a day-use facility only, not an overnight campground. Open daily from 8am to sunset. Reservations available through Reserve Nevada. For overnight camping at Kershaw-Ryan State Park, see the separate 16-unit campground.

About

Kershaw-Ryan State Park offers two group day-use areas set within Rainbow Canyon, where towering sandstone walls rise up to 700 feet. The park's natural springs nurture wild grapevines, white oaks, and fruit trees, creating a lush oasis in the high desert. Group pavilions provide covered shelters with picnic tables and grills for gatherings, with access to park restrooms featuring coin-operated showers. This Group Day Use facility is for daytime activities only and does not permit overnight camping. The park is located two miles south of Caliente on Nevada State Route 317, with 14 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails nearby. A seasonal spring-fed wading pool adds to the park's family-friendly appeal. For overnight stays, the park operates a separate 16-site campground with hookups and four first-come-first-served tent sites, which is a different facility from this group day-use area.
