About
Spring Campground offers a quiet, intimate camping experience in the mountains of Blacksmith Fork Canyon within the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The campground features just three single sites shaded by maple trees, each accommodating up to 8 people with a picnic table and fire ring. The Left Hand Fork of the Blacksmith Fork River runs adjacent to the campground, providing excellent fishing opportunities for wild brown, cutthroat, and rainbow trout. Recreational opportunities abound in the area. Richards Hollow Trail begins nearby, offering routes for hiking and mountain biking. The Shoshone ATV Trail System provides off-road exploration for those with ATVs. The campground sits at 6,000 feet elevation, providing relief from summer valley heat. Facilities are basic: vault toilets are available during the open season, but there is no potable water on site. Campers must bring all water needed for their stay. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with a 7-day stay limit.
