About

Card Guard Station is a historic Forest Service facility situated approximately seven miles up Logan Canyon along the Logan Canyon National Scenic Byway (US-89) in Utah's Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The guard station is one of several historic administrative buildings in the Logan Ranger District that dates back to the early days of the Forest Service. The surrounding Logan Canyon area offers excellent recreational opportunities including fishing in the Logan River, hiking and mountain biking on numerous trails, and wildlife viewing. The canyon is known for its dramatic limestone cliffs, colorful fall foliage, and access to higher elevation destinations like Tony Grove Lake. The scenic byway connecting Logan to Bear Lake passes directly by the station. Note: This facility was proposed for public cabin rental around 2013-2014 but current operational status could not be confirmed through official sources. Directions

From Logan, Utah, travel east on US Highway 89 (Logan Canyon National Scenic Byway) for approximately 7 miles. The guard station is located adjacent to the highway in Logan Canyon.
