Card Guard Station is a historic Forest Service guard station cabin that dates back to the 1930s, part of the early guard station network where stations were typically spaced a day's horseback ride apart. Located approximately seven miles up Logan Canyon along the Logan Canyon National Scenic Byway in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, this renovated cabin offers visitors a unique opportunity to stay in an authentic piece of Forest Service history. The cabin is part of the Forest Service's overnight cabin rental program and provides a comfortable base for exploring Logan Canyon and the surrounding Cache County wilderness. The guard station sits adjacent to the scenic byway, offering convenient access while maintaining a peaceful mountain setting. Card Guard Station represents one of several historic guard stations in the Logan Ranger District that have been restored for public use, allowing visitors to experience the heritage of the Forest Service while enjoying modern amenities in a rustic mountain environment.
