About

Card Picnic Area is a day-use facility located on the banks of the Logan River, approximately 9.4 miles east of Logan, Utah in scenic Logan Canyon within the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The area features four single picnic sites that overlook the river, each with a maximum occupancy of eight people. The site offers vault restrooms and picnic tables. Potable water is typically available during the operating season, though it may not be operational at all times. Permanent fire rings are provided and campfires are permitted only within these Forest Service-constructed cement or metal fire rings. Shade is plentiful throughout the area, and visitors can see historic willow trees planted by early pioneers along the original Logan Canyon road. This is strictly a day-use facility with no overnight camping. Gates open at 7 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. daily. The area operates from May 8 through October 4 on a first-come-first-served basis at $14 per vehicle per day.
