Spencer Creek Campground is located on the eastern shore of Oologah Lake in northeastern Oklahoma, managed by the Army Corps of Engineers. The 30,000-acre lake on the Verdigris River offers over 200 miles of shoreline dominated by old-growth post oak and blackjack oak forests. The campground provides both developed and primitive camping options with amenities including a boat ramp, playground, and swimming beach. Oologah Lake is a prime destination for water recreation, particularly sailing due to prevailing winds, along with boating, water skiing, and swimming. Anglers target black bass, crappie, paddlefish, channel and blue catfish, walleye, and hybrid striped bass. The Will Rogers Country Centennial Trail stretches 18 miles along the eastern shore, open to hikers and horseback riders. The nearby Oologah Wildlife Management Area offers nearly 13,000 acres for hunting deer, turkey, quail, and other game. The surrounding forests provide habitat for diverse wildlife including deer, turkey, rabbits, squirrels, ducks, geese, and doves. Dog Iron Ranch, the birthplace of Will Rogers, is located nearby and operates as a living history museum year-round. The campground enforces a 14-day stay limit within any 30-consecutive day period and maintains seasonal gate hours.

Located 15 miles from Oologah, Oklahoma via county roads on the eastern side of Oologah Lake, approximately 20 minutes north of Claremore.
