About
Spencer Creek campground sits on Oologah Lake in Rogers County, Oklahoma, operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Tulsa District. The campground occupies a scenic spot on the lake's western shore, offering easy access to the water for boating, fishing, and swimming. Oologah Lake covers nearly 30,000 acres with over 200 miles of shoreline dominated by old-growth post oak and blackjack oak forests. The campground has approximately 70 sites split between Loop A-LO with 30-amp electric hookups and Loop B-LO with primitive non-electric sites. A group shelter with electric service is also available for larger gatherings. Facilities include both flush and vault toilets, hot showers, a dump station, playground, and swimming beach. The boat ramp provides direct lake access for anglers targeting black bass, crappie, channel catfish, blue catfish, walleye, and hybrid striped bass. Nearby attractions include the Will Rogers Country Centennial Trail, an 18-mile hiking and horseback riding path along the eastern shore, and Dog Iron Ranch, the birthplace of Will Rogers, which operates as a living history museum with Texas Longhorn cattle and educational programs.
