About
Redbud Bay Campground is located on Oologah Lake, less than 30 miles from Tulsa, offering convenient access to one of northeastern Oklahoma's most popular sailing lakes. The campground features 11 campsites, all equipped with 30-amp electric and water hookups. Pit toilets are available on-site, while flush toilets, a shower house, and an RV dump station are located less than a mile away at Hawthorn Bluff Campground at no additional charge. Additional amenities at Hawthorn Bluff include playgrounds, a swimming beach, and an interpretive nature trail.
Oologah Lake sits on the Verdigris River with a surface area of nearly 30,000 acres and over 200 miles of shoreline dominated by old-growth post oak and blackjack oak forests. The prevailing winds make this lake particularly popular for sailing, while boaters, water skiers, and swimmers also enjoy the expansive waters. The surrounding forests provide habitat for diverse wildlife including deer, turkey, rabbits, quail, squirrels, ducks, geese, and doves, making it an excellent destination for wildlife viewing and birding. Several boat ramps and docks are available around the lake. Dog Iron Ranch, the birthplace of Will Rogers, is nearby and operates year-round as a living history museum.
