About

Redbud Bay Campground is a compact US Army Corps of Engineers facility on the eastern shore of Oologah Lake in northeastern Oklahoma. The lake spans nearly 30,000 acres on the Verdigris River, with over 200 miles of shoreline dominated by mature post oak and blackjack oak forests. Prevailing winds make Oologah one of the most popular sailing lakes in the Tulsa area. The campground offers 11 standard electric sites, each equipped with 30-amp electrical service and water hookups. Pit toilets are available at Redbud Bay, while flush toilets, a shower house, and an RV dump station are located less than a mile away at Hawthorn Bluff Campground at no additional charge. Playgrounds, a swimming beach, and an interpretive nature trail are also accessible at Hawthorn Bluff. Nearby attractions include Dog Iron Ranch, the birthplace of Will Rogers, which operates as a living history museum with the Rogers family's post-Civil War home, educational programs, and a 400-acre pasture with Texas Longhorn cattle on the lakeshore.
