About
Flat Rock Creek occupies a scenic spot on the east shore of Flat Rock Bay on Fort Gibson Lake in northeastern Oklahoma. Operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this seasonal campground has developed a loyal following among campers who appreciate its remote setting and family-friendly atmosphere. The park offers views of spectacular sunsets over the lake. The campground provides 30 family sites with electric hookups (30 and 50 amp available) and water connections, plus one group day-use picnic shelter and one primitive site available on a first-come-first-served basis. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and grill. Amenities include flush and pit toilets, showers, drinking water, a dump station, and a boat ramp with courtesy dock. The nearly 20,000-acre lake offers excellent boating, swimming, and fishing opportunities for black bass, white bass, crappie, catfish, and panfish. The protected shallow cove provides an ideal location for kayaks and canoes. The surrounding oak-hickory woodland and 225 miles of shoreline are home to public hunting lands with white-tailed deer, turkey, dove, waterfowl, rabbit, and squirrel.
