About

Spearhead Point Campground is one of the most popular campgrounds on the scenic Mondeaux Flowage in Wisconsin's Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. Located on a peninsula at 1,140 feet elevation, the campground offers 27 shady sites nestled along the lakeshore. Premium sites (designated with P) include small private docks for fishing or landing boats, while standard sites (designated with S) provide the same amenities minus the dock. Each site includes a parking spur, fire ring with grill, and picnic table. Vault toilets and potable water are available throughout the campground. Coin-operated showers, a boat ramp, and a concession stand can be found at nearby Mondeaux Picnic Area. Both motorized and non-motorized boats are allowed on the flowage, though some areas are shallow. The Ice Age National Scenic Trail runs adjacent to the campground, offering hiking along the edge of Wisconsin's historic glacier. The one-mile Aldo Leopold Nature Trail is accessible from Forest Road 106. Anglers target walleye, northern pike, musky, crappie, and bluegill in the flowage.
