About

Picnic Point Campground offers a peaceful escape in northern Wisconsin on the scenic Mondeaux Flowage. This tent-only facility features four individual campsites nestled under towering pine trees along the western shore of the 411-acre lake. Sites sit right at the water's edge where boats can be anchored, and each includes a fire ring with grill and a picnic table. A vault toilet serves the campground. Parking is not available at individual sites; campers must park in a nearby lot and carry their gear. The campground provides excellent access to outdoor recreation. Your camping fee includes use of the boat ramp for fishing and paddling on the flowage, which holds crappie, bluegill, northern pike, musky, and walleye. The Ice Age National Scenic Trail passes through the area and is accessible to campers. A swimming beach is located 2.5 miles away. Potable water is not available at the campground but can be obtained at a glacial spring on Forest Road 1563 or at West Point Campground about a mile north. Trash service is not provided; pack out your trash or use the dumpster at West Point. Firewood must originate within 25 miles of the campground or be certified by Wisconsin DNR.
