About

Connors Lake Campground occupies a wooded peninsula on the shores of 410-acre Connors Lake within Wisconsin's Flambeau River State Forest. The 29 back-in sites accommodate both tents and RVs on paved campground roads with gravel spurs. Sites 7, 9, 10, and 11 offer 50-amp electric service, while two sites are designated ADA-accessible. Five premium lakeside sites (10, 11, 13, 15, and 17) include individual landing areas for watercraft access. Facilities include two accessible vault toilet buildings, hand pump drinking water, and garbage/recycling service. A swimming beach and canoe launch provide direct lake access, while a 0.3-mile nature trail loops through the surrounding forest. No dump station exists on-site, but free dumping is available at the forest headquarters five miles away. Generators are prohibited except with medical exemptions. Connors Lake supports a healthy fishery of walleye, musky, smallmouth and largemouth bass, and panfish. Beyond fishing and swimming, the surrounding Flambeau River State Forest offers extensive opportunities for hiking, paddling the Flambeau River, and exploring over 90,000 acres of northern hardwood and conifer forest.
