About
Eastwood Campground is a small, family-friendly campground situated along the scenic Mondeaux Flowage in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest near Medford, Wisconsin. The campground features 12 shady sites for tent and RV camping, with some sites available by reservation and others on a first-come, first-served basis. The Ice Age National Scenic Trail passes directly through the campground, providing access to this 1,200-mile trail that traces the edges of a historic glacier. The 411-acre Mondeaux Flowage offers excellent recreation opportunities despite being relatively shallow. Anglers can fish for musky, panfish, largemouth bass, and pike, while swimmers enjoy the lake's waters during warmer months. A boat ramp is located about one mile away, providing easy access for watercraft. The campground is also just a couple miles from the Mondeaux Picnic Area at the Mondeaux Dam Recreation Area, offering additional amenities and exploration opportunities in this beautiful northern Wisconsin setting.
Directions
From Medford, travel north on State Highway 13 for about 15 miles. Turn left on County Road D for about 6 miles, then turn left onto Forest Road 104 for about 2 miles and continue into the campground.
