About

Chippewa Campground occupies the eastern shore of the 2,714-acre Chequamegon Waters Flowage at 1,020 feet elevation in northwestern Wisconsin. The campground is shaded by a heavy canopy of mixed hardwood and pine trees. Of the 78 sites, 41 are reservable through Recreation.gov and the remainder are first-come, first-served. Three loops (Beaver, Bass, Hardwood) offer flush toilets and hot showers, while the rustic loop has vault toilets and remains accessible year-round, though the winter access road is not maintained. Electric hookups are available at sites 31-49; no water or sewer hookups are provided. A dump station and RV fill-up station are located near the entrance. The campground accommodates RVs up to 40 feet. Single sites hold up to 8 people and 4 vehicles; double sites hold 16 people and 6 vehicles. Recreation options include fishing for largemouth bass, pike, and bluegill from the lake or a boat ramp, swimming at the beach, and a playground for children. The 20-mile Perkinstown Motorized Trail for ATVs, UTVs, and motorcycles can be accessed from the rustic loop only.
