About

Spadra Recreation Area is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers campground situated along Lake Dardanelle and the Arkansas River near Clarksville, Arkansas. The park features 24 campsites with electric hookups, many of which also include water connections. Campers enjoy scenic waterfront views from sites positioned on bluffs above the 34,000-acre lake. The facility includes modern amenities such as shower facilities, flush restrooms, a dump station, and seasonal water spigots. Two boat launching ramps provide excellent access to the Arkansas River and Lake Dardanelle for fishing and boating. The park also features picnic shelters, a playground, and multiple day-use areas. An adjacent marina offers convenient services for last-minute boating and fishing needs. Spadra serves as an excellent entry point to Little Spadra Creek and Higskin Creek, making it popular for fishing, waterfowl viewing, and river recreation. The campground is located just off Interstate 40 (exit 58), with the city of Clarksville a short drive away for shopping and dining options. Reservations are available through Recreation.gov.

Directions

From Clarksville, Arkansas, take Highway 103 south for approximately 2 miles. Turn right onto County Road 279 and continue for about 1 mile to reach Spadra Park.
