About

Nestled in the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest in Logan County, Arkansas, Sorghum Hollow Horse Camp has been welcoming outdoor enthusiasts since 1989. This rustic campground serves primarily as a horse camp but accommodates a diverse range of users including OHV riders, mountain bikers, and hikers. The campground offers 15 family camping units operated on a first-come, first-served basis, making it ideal for groups, families, or solo adventurers. On-site amenities include vault toilets, a pond, and ample day-use parking. No potable water is available, so campers must bring their own supply. Payment can be made via the Recreation.gov mobile app's Scan and Pay feature or with cash or check. The main attraction is access to the nearby Huckleberry Mountain Horse Trail system, which provides 37.3 miles of multi-use trails. Originally designed for horseback riding, these trails now accommodate OHVs, mountain bikes, and hiking. The landscape features winding valleys framed by rugged mountain bluffs with spectacular views of the surrounding Arkansas wilderness.
