Mount Magazine State Park Campground occupies a dramatic ridgetop setting on Arkansas' highest peak at 2,753 feet. The 18 campsites feature full hookups with water, electric, and sewer connections. Two Class AAA sites offer 50-amp electric service while 16 Class AA sites provide 30-amp service. The campground can accommodate RVs up to 60 feet in length, making it suitable for larger rigs despite the mountain access road. The barrier-free bathhouse includes hot showers and flush toilets, remaining open year-round along with the campground itself. An RV dump station serves campers needing to empty holding tanks. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring per Arkansas State Parks standards. Pets are welcome but must remain on leash at all times. Beyond the campground, the park offers extensive recreation including multiple hiking trails, world-class hang gliding from Signal Hill, technical rock climbing routes on sandstone bluffs, and mountain biking. The visitor center provides interpretive programs highlighting the unique natural diversity of the mountaintop ecosystem. The Lodge at Mount Magazine with its Skycrest Restaurant offers dining and additional lodging options nearby.
