About
Wolf Pen Campground is a primitive recreation area located next to the Mulberry River in the northwestern portion of Arkansas within the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest. The campground features 6 primitive campsites with space for small camping trailers, along with a picnicking area designed for 5 family units. The location is particularly popular with canoeists who enjoy paddling the Mulberry River while taking in views of the area's scenic rock bluffs. Activities at Wolf Pen include canoeing, fishing, hiking, and river access. The campground provides vault toilets but no drinking water is available, so visitors must bring their own. Each site includes a picnic table and fire pit. The area offers good fishing and hunting opportunities when in season. Operated first-come, first-served, sites cannot be reserved in advance. The campground is accessed from Clarksville by taking Arkansas Highway 103 north for 18 miles, then turning west on Highway 215 for approximately 2 miles. Payment is collected on-site via cash, check, or the Recreation.gov mobile app using the Scan and Pay feature where available.
