About

Ozone Campground occupies the historic site of the Ozone Civilian Conservation Corps camp in the Ozark-St. Francis National Forests of northwest Arkansas. The campground features 8 primitive family camping units set among the hardwood forests of the Ozark Mountains. Facilities include vault toilets and potable drinking water available from a hand pump. A reservable picnic pavilion is also available for group day use. The campground serves as the trailhead for the Ozone section of the 168-mile Ozark Highlands Trail, one of the premier long-distance hiking routes in the United States. Camping trailers are permitted, though the primitive nature of the facility means no hookups or specialized RV amenities are available. Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis only with on-site payment via cash, check, or the Recreation.gov mobile app's Scan and Pay feature.
