About

Piney Bay Campground is located along the shores of Dardanelle Lake, a 40,000-acre reservoir on the Arkansas River in western Arkansas. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this established campground offers 68 reservable campsites, all equipped with electric hookups, along with a large group picnic shelter and over 20 walk-in sites. The facility features hot showers, flush toilets, two boat ramps, a swim beach, and a playground, making it an ideal destination for families and anglers. Situated between the Ozark and Ouachita National Forests, Piney Bay creates an excellent setting for nature lovers. The lake is known for outstanding fishing opportunities, with abundant populations of white bass, largemouth bass, bream, crappie, and large catfish. The region also serves as a favorite winter destination for bald eagles. Nearby attractions include the Bona Dea Trails and Sanctuary, featuring nearly 86 acres of wetlands and low woods with six miles of trails for exploring native wildlife habitat.
