Northwestern Spartanburg County in upstate South Carolina... * Until 1100 AM EDT. * At 511 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a line of torrential rainfall training from Glassy Mountain and Gowansville to Tryon, Columbus, Saluda, Bat Cave, Chimney Rock, and Lake Lure. This rainfall will be capable of producing 1-2 inches in less than an hour. This rainfall may cause additional rises on area streams, including the Broad River near Lake Lure and quickly exacerbate ongoing Minor flooding. Significant flooding, potentially impacting some structures, may develop quickly over the next 1-2 hours. Seek higher ground now! HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life-threatening flash flooding. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive runoff continues. * WHERE...Spartanburg County in upstate South Carolina... * WHEN...Until noon EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 724 AM EDT, Area stream gage reports were indicating lingering out of bank conditions across portions of the Pacolet and Lawsons Fork basins. After a 3 to 6 inch storm total rainfall, excessive runoff and high water conditions will linger across much of central and northern Spartanburg County through at least midday. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Croft State Park Campground sits within the expansive 7,054-acre former Camp Croft Army training facility, now transformed into a multi-use recreational park just five miles from downtown Spartanburg. The 50-site family campground is divided into two areas: the Inland section (sites 1-25) with 30-amp electrical service, and the Lakeside section (sites 26-50) offering 20/30/50-amp service with easier access to Lake Craig. Each site features packed gravel pads, water and electric hookups, a fire ring with grill, and a picnic table. The campground provides restrooms with hot showers, a dump station, and a park store. WiFi is available throughout the park. The 165-acre Lake Craig offers excellent fishing opportunities for bass, bream, and catfish, plus kayak and canoe rentals. Over 20 miles of multi-use trails wind through the park, popular with hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians. The park also features a primitive group camping area accommodating up to 75 people, horse stalls for equestrian campers, and a show arena.
