Open — Open year-round. Park gates open 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily during standard time, extended to 8:00 p.m. on Fridays and 9:00 p.m. daily during daylight saving time. Reservations available via South Carolina State Parks reservation system at 1-866-345-PARK, with a minimum two-night stay required.

Croft State Park Campground sits on the historic grounds of Camp Croft, a World War II Army infantry training center that closed in 1947. The park now encompasses over 7,000 acres of rolling, wooded terrain just outside Spartanburg. The campground is divided into three distinct areas: the Inland Campground with 25 sites (30-amp service), the Lakeside Campground with 25 sites (20/30/50-amp service), and a primitive group camping area for organized groups up to 75 people. All developed sites feature packed gravel pads with water and electrical hookups, and many sites can accommodate RVs up to 40 feet in length. Modern restroom facilities with hot showers are conveniently located near both campground areas. The park offers excellent recreational opportunities including over 20 miles of multi-use hiking and biking trails, equestrian facilities and trails, fishing and boating on 165-acre Lake Craig (electric motors only), and a playground. Boat rentals are available including non-motorized fishing boats, canoes, and kayaks. The park maintains a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere popular with both tent campers and RVers. As a green retreat in the heart of Spartanburg County, Croft State Park provides a convenient escape into nature with the amenities and accessibility of a developed state park campground.
