About
Collins Creek Seasonal Campground provides a rustic base camp for hunters pursuing deer and turkey in one of South Carolina's most productive hunting areas. Located on the Enoree Ranger District of Sumter National Forest, the 36 primitive campsites are arranged in a single loop beneath a pine canopy. Each site has a rock or metal fire ring, and some include lantern holders. Water spigots are centrally located, and an outdoor shower with a privacy enclosure is available. The surrounding piedmont forest sustains abundant wildlife populations, making this area highly desirable for big game hunting. The campground sits centrally located to thousands of huntable acres and offers convenient access to the Broad, Enoree, and Tyger Rivers for fishing and boating. Jews Harp Spring Trail, accessible from across the shower building, provides an easy mile-long hike to a historic spring site. During hunting season, all sites operate first-come-first-served. Outside hunting season, the entire campground can be reserved as a group site for family reunions, retreats, or other gatherings. Checkout is 2 p.m. and quiet hours run 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
