About

Andrew Jackson State Park Campground is located in the rolling hills of Lancaster County, South Carolina, at the birthplace of the nation's seventh president. The campground features 25 sites arranged along a single loop road in a mixed pine and hardwood forest adjacent to the park's lake. Each site includes individual water and electric hookups, with five paved sites accommodating RVs up to 36 feet and 20 gravel sites suitable for RVs up to 30 feet. The campground provides convenient access to restrooms with hot showers and a dump station for waste disposal. The park's 360 acres offer a blend of natural beauty and historical significance. Campers can enjoy fishing in the park lake, exploring nature trails, and visiting the Andrew Jackson Museum, which details the president's boyhood in the South Carolina backcountry. An 18th-century replica schoolhouse, herb garden, and orchard enhance the historical experience. The park also features a statue of young Andrew Jackson by sculptor Anna Hyatt Huntington. Recreational facilities include picnic shelters and boat rentals for lake fishing. The campground also offers a primitive group camping area for organized groups up to 50 people.
