About

Andrew Jackson State Park Campground sits within the 360-acre park commemorating the seventh U.S. president's birthplace in the South Carolina upcountry. The campground offers 25 sites positioned near an 18-acre fishing lake stocked with bass, bream, and catfish. Twenty-two sites feature water and 30-amp electric hookups, while three sites provide full hookups including sewer service. The park divides its camping area between five paved sites capable of handling RVs up to 36 feet and twenty gravel sites suited for units up to 30 feet. All sites are convenient to restrooms with hot showers. A dump station serves RV campers. For groups, a primitive camping area offers picnic tables and fire rings about a half-mile from the main restrooms. Beyond camping, visitors can explore two one-mile loop trails, fish the stocked lake from the bank or by boat (electric motors only), and visit the museum housing Revolutionary War artifacts and an 18th-century replica schoolhouse.
