Sesquicentennial State Park Campground is a spacious camping destination set within 1,400 acres of pine forest in Columbia, South Carolina. The campground offers 84 sites arranged in two loops, with packed sand or gravel surfaces. Sites 1-29 feature 20/30/50 amp electric service, with sites 1-9 providing full hookups including sewer. Sites 36-84 have 20/30 amp electric, with nine sites also equipped with lantern hooks. Three sites include tent pads that accommodate tents up to 10x10 feet. All sites include water hookups, picnic tables, and fire rings. The campground provides convenient access to modern restroom facilities with hot showers and dump stations. Beyond camping, the park features a scenic 30-acre lake for fishing and non-motorized boating, miles of hiking trails, a six-mile mountain biking loop, playgrounds, and a two-acre fenced dog park. Despite its proximity to downtown Columbia and major interstate highways, the park maintains a peaceful, wooded atmosphere. Reservations require a minimum two-night stay, with a maximum 14-day consecutive stay limit.
