About

Sesquicentennial State Park provides an urban camping escape just 13 miles northeast of downtown Columbia. The campground features 78 sites arranged in wooded loops, offering a range of accommodation options from tent camping to full-hookup RV sites. Standard sites include 20/30 amp electric and water, while sites 2-9 provide full service with sewer connections and 50 amp capability. A primitive group camping area can accommodate up to 50 people. The park surrounds a scenic 30-acre lake ideal for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing for largemouth bass, bluegill, and catfish. Over 10 miles of trails wind through sandhills terrain, including a popular six-mile mountain biking loop. Other amenities include two playgrounds, an EV charging station, a splash pad, and a two-acre fenced dog park requiring a permit. The park's proximity to Columbia makes it convenient for both weekend getaways and longer stays exploring the capital region.
