About

South Beach Campground is positioned on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean in the Kalaloch area of Olympic National Park, approximately 36 miles south of Forks, Washington. The campground offers around 50-55 sites accessed via a dirt road, each equipped with a fire pit and picnic table. The oceanside location provides dramatic coastal views and easy access to the beach below. This is a seasonal, first-come, first-served campground with no advance reservations available. Flush toilets are provided, though they are not wheelchair accessible. There is no potable water at South Beach; campers must obtain water from the dump station at nearby Kalaloch Campground. Most sites accommodate vehicles up to 21 feet, with a few sites that can fit RVs up to 35 feet. Pets are allowed on leash. The Kalaloch area offers additional services including the Kalaloch Ranger Station, Kalaloch Lodge, and The Mercantile for supplies. South Beach is one of only two campground options on the southern coast of Olympic National Park, making it a popular destination for coastal camping.
