About
Bogachiel State Park is a green-enshrouded haven on the northwestern Olympic Peninsula, providing a forested retreat along the Bogachiel River. This 123-acre camping park, established in 1931, offers an excellent base for touring the western Olympic Peninsula and exploring Olympic National Park. The park sits on the edge of the Bogachiel Rainforest, with lush temperate rainforest terrain fed by over 120 inches of annual precipitation. The campground accommodates RVs and combinations up to 40 feet in length, with 36 standard sites, 6 partial hookup sites with water and electricity, hiker-biker sites, and one group camp for tents only. Amenities include flush toilets, showers, fire pits at each site, picnic tables, trash service, and a dump station. The park operates year-round on a first-come, first-served basis during winter. Visitors can explore the Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail, which passes through the park, or take a 40-minute drive to the Hoh Rainforest. The Bogachiel River provides opportunities for fishing, and in midsummer, visitors can float down a small section within the park. Rialto Beach and other coastal areas are easily accessible. The park is located 4 miles south of Forks on Highway 101, making it a convenient stop for those touring the Olympic Peninsula.
