About
Snake Creek Park sits on the shores of Tenkiller Ferry Lake, often called Oklahoma's clear water paradise. The 12,500-acre lake is fed by the Illinois River and Baron Fork, both designated Oklahoma Scenic Rivers, and nestled in the Ozark foothills. The campground offers 109 sites spread across two loops, with most providing 30-amp electric service and a handful offering 50-amp or full hookups. Facilities include modern restrooms with flush toilets and hot showers, water hydrants throughout, and a dump station. A swim beach and playground serve families, while multiple boat ramps provide lake access for anglers and boaters. The full-service Snake Creek Marina adjacent to the campground offers fuel, supplies, and concessions. The lake supports excellent fishing for black bass, white bass, striped bass, crappie, and catfish. Scuba divers prize the clear waters and high visibility. The trout stream below Tenkiller Dam is one of only two year-round trout fisheries in Oklahoma. Nearby attractions include Tenkiller State Park, Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge, and the historic Cherokee Nation capital of Tahlequah.
