Applegate Cove sits along the shady banks of Robert S. Kerr Reservoir in the scenic Cookson Hills of eastern Oklahoma. The campground offers 27 electric campsites available first-come, first-served when open. Robert S. Kerr Reservoir spans over 250 miles of shoreline and 43,000 surface acres, making it a premier destination for anglers seeking record-size crappie, sand bass, catfish, and black bass. The campground provides convenient amenities including two playgrounds, a boat ramp, and courtesy dock for easy water access. Boating and kayaking are popular activities on the expansive reservoir. A variety of hiking trails wind throughout the hills and along the shoreline, offering additional recreation opportunities for campers who want to explore the natural beauty of the area. Located within the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System, the reservoir is impounded by Robert S. Kerr Lock and Dam on the Arkansas River, just below its confluence with the Canadian River. The campground is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and sits approximately eight miles south of Sallisaw, Oklahoma.

Directions

Head south on US-59 out of Sallisaw, OK for 7 miles, turn right at Pier 7 General Store onto E1140 Rd for 2.4 miles. Where the road forks, keep left towards Applegate Cove Marina and you will dead end at Applegate Cove Campground.
