About

Snag Cove Campground occupies a scenic pine-forested setting along Lake Roosevelt's western shore, about 85 miles north of Spokane. This small campground offers nine reservation-only sites, with eight positioned directly on the water. The intimate size and lakefront location make it a favorite for families, anglers, and hunters seeking a quieter experience away from the larger developed campgrounds. Facilities include vault toilets, fire rings at each site, and picnic tables. A boat launch with trailer parking and a courtesy dock provides convenient access to Lake Roosevelt for fishing, waterskiing, and general boating. Campers should come prepared with their own drinking water, as none is available on site. Trash services are limited, so plan to pack out what you pack in. The campground accommodates RVs and trailers up to 40 feet. Site 1 is designated as the ADA-accessible site with a maximum 28-foot vehicle length. Campground roads and parking spaces are paved, though individual site areas may be unpaved and uneven. Pets are welcome but must remain leashed at all times.

Directions

From Spokane, take Highway 395 north approximately 66 miles through Colville, then continue 15 miles through Kettle Falls and over the bridge. At Northport/Flat Creek River Bridge, turn right onto Northport Flat Creek Road and drive 6.7 miles. Snag Cove Campground will be on the right.
