About

Snag Cove is a small, fairly isolated campground located on the western side of Lake Roosevelt within Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area. The campground features 9 reservation-only sites, with eight positioned directly on the lake shore. All sites are open to both tents and RVs up to 40 feet, though exact length capacity varies by site. Site 1 is designated as ADA accessible with a 28-foot maximum vehicle length. The campground is nestled in a beautiful pine forest setting along the lake's edge. A boat launch with trailer parking and courtesy dock frames one side of the campground, providing easy water access for fishing and boating activities. The facility is popular with families, hunters, and fishermen, and often fills during the summer season due to its small size and prime location. Facilities are basic and include vault toilets and trash collection, but no potable water is available on-site. The campground has paved roads and parking spaces, though campsites themselves feature unpaved areas with picnic tables and fire rings. This is an unstaffed location with all reservations managed through Recreation.gov.
