Situated along Kentucky's Highland Rim, Smith Ridge Campground is surrounded by forested tracks, rolling meadows, and the pristine banks of Green River Lake. The campground offers 80 campsites with 62 sites featuring water and electric hookups and 18 non-electric sites. Flush toilets, hot showers, fire rings, and drinking water provide comfortable amenities. A playground and hiking trail offer recreation within the campground, while a Corps-managed boat ramp, fishing pier, and picnic areas are located nearby. Green River Lake encompasses 32,000 acres in central Kentucky with 8,000 surface acres of water ideal for boating, fishing, jet skiing, and wakeboarding. Ten boat ramps are located around the shoreline, and three full-service marinas serve the lake. Fishing is excellent for walleye, crappie, white bass, channel catfish, muskie, and bluegill. Within a mile of the campground, visitors can access a marina-managed swimming beach, additional picnic areas, and a 9-hole disc golf course. The campground is now operated by volunteers with limited tollhouse hours. Miles of trails wind around the lake offering scenic views. The Corps of Engineers Visitor Center and Historical Civil War Atkinson-Griffin Log Cabin are 13.5 miles away near the dam. Mammoth Cave National Park and Abraham Lincoln's birthplace are within an hour's drive.

Directions

From Campbellsville, take Highway 70 east for 1 mile. Turn right on Highway 372 and continue 3 miles, then turn right onto County Park Road. Follow directional signs to the campground.
