About
Smith Ridge Campground is a developed U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facility on the banks of Green River Lake in Taylor County, Kentucky. The campground provides 80 sites spread along the rolling, forested terrain of the Highland Rim, with 62 sites featuring water and 50-amp electric hookups. Sites accommodate tents, RVs, and trailers, with some accommodating vehicles up to 60 feet. On-site amenities include flush toilets, hot showers, drinking water, and fire rings at each site. A playground and hiking trail offer additional recreation within the campground. Within a mile, campers can access a boat ramp, fishing pier, picnic areas, swimming beach, and 9-hole disc golf course at the nearby marina. Green River Lake spans 8,000 surface acres, offering excellent fishing for walleye, crappie, white bass, channel catfish, muskie, and bluegill. Ten boat ramps and three full-service marinas serve the lake. Nearby attractions include Mammoth Cave National Park and Abraham Lincoln's birthplace, both within an hour's drive.
