About
Satterly Picnic Shelter is located within the Site 1 Day Use Area at Green River Lake, part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recreation area. Situated along Kentucky's Highland Rim, the shelter is surrounded by forested tracks, rolling meadows, and the pristine banks of Green River Lake. The facility provides electricity and water hookups, lighting, 8 picnic tables, grills, and parking, with access to seasonal restrooms and scenic lakefront views. A 4-lane boat ramp and fishing pier are located within a few hundred feet of the shelter, providing easy access to Green River Lake's 8,000 surface acres of water. The lake is popular for boating, fishing for walleye, crappie, white bass, channel catfish, muskie, and bluegill, as well as water skiing and jet skiing. Multiple trailheads are nearby, and Green River Lake State Park is just 4 miles away.
