Satterly Picnic Shelter
This is a day-use picnic shelter only, not an overnight campground. The shelter is currently open and can be reserved through Recreation.gov or used free on a first-come, first-served basis when not reserved. The nearby restroom operates seasonally and is closed during winter months. Events with over 50 attendees or non-picnic events require a Special Use Permit submitted 30 days in advance.

About
Satterly Picnic Shelter is a covered day-use facility located within the Site 1 Day Use Area at Green River Lake, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Situated along Kentucky's Highland Rim, the shelter offers lakefront views surrounded by forested tracts and rolling meadows. The facility includes electricity hookup, water hookup, overhead lights, 8 picnic tables, grills, and parking. This is a day-use only facility with no overnight camping. The shelter can be reserved through Recreation.gov with 24-hour advance notice, or used free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis when not reserved. Events other than picnics or gatherings exceeding 50 attendees require a Special Use Permit submitted 30 days in advance. A seasonal restroom is available nearby but closes during winter months. Nearby attractions include a 4-lane boat ramp, fishing pier, and lake access within a few hundred feet. The Corps of Engineers Visitor Center and the historical Civil War Atkinson-Griffin Log Cabin are 0.7 miles away. Green River Lake State Park is a 4-mile drive, and Mammoth Cave National Park and Abraham Lincoln's birthplace are within an hour.
Directions
From Campbellsville: Head southwest on E Broadway St toward Lebanon Ave (0.6 mi). E Broadway St turns slightly right and becomes US-68 W/Greensburg Rd (0.5 mi). Turn left onto KY-55 S (8.3 mi). Turn left onto Hwy 1061/Lake Rd (0.4 mi). Turn right towards Site 1 boat ramp (0.4 mi). Destination will be on the left.
