About
Kendall Campground is an Army Corps of Engineers facility located at 80 Kendall Road, south of Jamestown, Kentucky, just below Wolf Creek Dam on Lake Cumberland. The 70-acre campground offers 116 reservable campsites, all equipped with water and electric hookups. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring with grill, and lantern post. The campground is particularly popular with anglers due to its convenient access to a cold water trout stream that is well-stocked with rainbow, brook, and brown trout. On-site amenities include a boat ramp, fish cleaning station, basketball court, horseshoe pit, playgrounds, and the Whispering Pines Trail, a non-strenuous half-mile hiking trail. A group day-use picnic shelter with water and electric hookups is also available. The campground overlooks the river with sweeping scenic views, surrounded by dense stands of mature hardwoods that provide pleasant shade and wildlife habitat. Wolf Creek Dam National Fish Hatchery is within walking distance and offers free tours year-round. Lake Cumberland State Park is 6.5 miles away, and several marinas with boat rentals and services are located nearby.
