Green River Lake State Park is a recreational paradise in south-central Kentucky situated on the shores of 8,200-acre Green River Lake. The campground offers 227 campsites divided into 167 improved sites with electric hookups and 60 primitive tent sites without electric or water. All improved sites have water and electric hookups, and most feature picnic tables and fire rings. The campground includes three central service buildings equipped with flush toilets, hot showers, and laundry facilities. On-site amenities include a camp store selling groceries, ice, firewood, and supplies, a dump station for RVs, and campground-wide Wi-Fi access. Recreation facilities include a sandy beach for swimming, an 18-hole miniature golf course, playgrounds, and volleyball courts. The park offers 28 miles of multi-use trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. Green River Lake provides excellent opportunities for boating, fishing, water skiing, and jet skiing. A boat launch ramp is located within the park, and Green River Marina adjacent to the park offers boat, pontoon, and houseboat rentals. The campground operates seasonally from mid-March through mid-December with peak season running from late May through August. Reservations are available through the Kentucky State Parks system up to 12 months in advance.

Directions

From Campbellsville: Take Highway 55 South for 4 miles, turn onto Highway 1061, continue 2 miles to park entrance. From Bowling Green: Take Exit 43 to Cumberland Parkway, then Exit 49 to Highway 55 North through Columbia (approximately 15 miles), turn onto Highway 1061, continue 2 miles to park entrance.
