About

Situated along Kentucky's Highland Rim, Pikes Ridge Campground is surrounded by forested tracks, rolling meadows, and the pristine banks of Green River Lake. This Army Corps of Engineers campground features 60 campsites, with 20 offering water and electric hookups. Several waterfront campsites provide convenient access to the 8,000-acre lake, making it ideal for anglers and boaters. The campground includes a boat ramp, courtesy dock, fishing pier, swimming beach, playground, and hiking trail. A showerhouse and dump station serve campers. Green River Lake is renowned for excellent fishing, with abundant populations of walleye, crappie, white bass, channel catfish, muskie, and bluegill. The lake offers ample room for jet skiing, wakeboarding, and other water sports, with ten boat ramps located around the shoreline and three full-service marinas. The surrounding 32,000-acre Green River Lake area features miles of scenic trails winding along the shore and through varied habitats that support deer, turkey, rabbit, quail, squirrel, dove, and waterfowl. Nearby attractions include Mammoth Cave National Park and Abraham Lincoln's birthplace, both within an hour's drive. The campground is now operated by volunteers with limited tollhouse hours.

Directions

From Campbellsville, take Highway 70 east for 4 miles. Turn right on Highway 76 and continue for 4.8 miles, then turn right onto Pikes Ridge Road. Follow the directional signs to the campground.
